Who We Are
Our mission is to lead individuals to love God, love others, and serve the Lord.
Loving God
by beginning and growing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He is Savior; He is Lord.
Loving Others
by showing our love for Jesus, by sharing His love with others. Love one another. Love thy neighbor.
Serving the Lord
by showing our love for Jesus, by serving Him in our families, our church family, our community, and our world. Family. Community. Missions.
What We Believe
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16
Concerning the Bible
Inspired, Inerrant, Infallible
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men supernaturally inspired; that it has truth without any admixture of error for its matter; and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the age, the only complete and final revelation of the will of God to man; the true center of Christian union and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.
Concerning Salvation
By Grace, Through Faith
Salvation is by grace through faith; and is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement; or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (John 3:16)
Concerning the True God
The Trinity: 3 Persons, 1 God
We believe there is one and only one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Among the attributes of the Triune God: His is infinite immutable, all-powerful, all-knowing, everywhere present, inexpressibly glorious in holiness. He is worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love. (Matthew 28:19)
Concerning Satan
He is Real; He is the Enemy
We believe in the reality and personality of Satan who is the author of sin, and the cause of the fall; that he was created by God as an angel, but through pride and rebellion became the declared enemy of his Creator and man, the accuser of the brethren, the unholy god of this age, the ruler of all the power of darkness; that he is destined to the judgment of an eternal justice in the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:10)
Concerning the Fall of Man
All Have Sinned and Come Short of the Glory of God
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death (eternal separation from God), and that human beings are born with a sinful nature and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, are sinners in thought, word, and deed. (Ephesians 2:1-3)
Concerning the Church
Independent and Self-Governing
We believe that the true church is composed of all who have been saved through faith in Jesus Christ. We also believe members of the true Church, which is the bride of Christ, are eligible for membership in the local church. Christ is the head of the church, not any person, group, or religious organization. While recognizing the value of associating and cooperating with other groups of Christians, we believe that the local church should be independent, self-governing, and free from any denominational control.
(I Corinthians 12:12-14; Hebrews 10:25)
Concerning Marriage
1 Man and 1 Woman
We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman for life. Marriages outside those parameters will not be performed by church ministers or on church property. We believe that any sexual relationship outside the marriage of a man and a woman is a sinful perversion of God’s gift of marriage. (I Corinthians 6:9-10, Ephesians 5:31, Genesis 2:24)
Concerning the Return of Christ
Imminent, Pre-Tribulation, 2nd Coming, Millennial
We believe in the bodily, personal, imminent return of Jesus Christ who will come in the air for His bride, the saved (saints), before the Tribulation, and will return with His own after the Tribulation to judge the living nations and set up His Millennial Kingdom. (I Corinthians 15:51-53; I Thessalonians 4: 13-18; John 14:1-6)
Concerning the Security of the Believer
Sealed until the Day of Redemption
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Once born again, you cannot lose your salvation. Salvation is sustained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. (John 10:29; 2 Timothy 1:12)
Concerning Eternity
Heaven and Hell
Heaven is a literal place where God will wipe away every tear and there will be no more death, mourning, crying or pain. Believers will live forever in God’s presence. We also believe in a literal hell, which is a place of physical and spiritual torment, experienced as a result of eternal separation from God. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (John 3:16, Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:15).
